Last week, news reports came through of a limo driver in Kent who had seen his license suspended for carrying too many passengers. It may only be a small news piece in a local paper, but it demonstrates the problems that can arise with chauffeur hire when communications break down.
The incident occurred back in December. A group of 15 women had booked two limos to take them on a grand shopping trip. However, somewhere along the line, something went wrong. Only one car arrived, but the driver decided to pack all the women in. Since his car was only licensed for eight people the authorities understandably took a dim view.
It just goes to show that when you go looking for chauffeur hire, you should take time to make your choice. Make sure your requests are communicated as directly as clearly as possible to avoid problems such as this.
Of course, in any event a chauffeur hire company should maintain basic safety principals. This is an extreme example, but it does go to show the difference that exists between the best operators and the worst.
Whatever your requirements regarding chauffeur hire, it pays to get in touch with our representatives. They can provide an excellent level of advice to make sure you get the level of service you deserve.
