Today I was released from the frim grasp on the office PC and let loose into the streets of London on a mission to meet with a top London agency. A colleague and I headed down to London to visit the agency in the shopping central of London, Oxford Street. The meeting went very well whilst we discussed the various approaches to search engine optimisation and how this could influence some of the agencys big name clients.

Everyone with any kind of mobile device knows how frustrating it is when your battery dies and you’re nowhere near a power socket. The whole idea of ‘mobile’ is brilliant but what is the point if you can’t charge your mobile device on the go? Well US based company WiTricity are set to change that!
WiTricity are using recent advances in physics to all electricity to be sent wirelessly to power devices such as computers and light bulbs. The Chief executive of WiTricity Eric Giler demonstrated the new wireless power at a recent conference, showing how a television and a mobile phone can be powered without wires via the new wireless technology.

Well this is a little rant about a subject which is, quite frankly, getting on my nerves! Now I’m no expert by any means but it seems to me that the whole ’swine flu’ fiasco is being blown completely out of proportion and what annoys me the most is everyone seems to be becoming seriously worried about it. Like I said I’m no expert and I am well aware people have died from suspected swine flu, but people die from flu all the time, it is not uncommon by any stretch of the imagination.

Operating system and computer giants Microsoft are nearly set to launch their brand new operating system Windows 7. The highly spoken about operating system will go on sale 22 October 2009 and is currently available for pre-order until 9 August via many online retailers, costing £49 for the ‘home’ version and £99 for the ‘professional’ version.
Online retail giants Amazon stated today that in the initial 8 hours of the pre-order period Windows 7 sold more than the entire 17 week period of Windows Vista. Even Microsofts own online store experience problems due to the surge in demand for the new operating system. It is thought that the sucess of the sales is much due to the discounted price which is over half the price of the original Vista pricing structure.
