The Sidewiki is a tool that can forms part of the Google toolbar, and allows comments to be posted on any page on the net. As it floats above pages as opposed to being in it, no webmaster can opt out. The only saving grace for the webmaster is the fact that he or she can control the top comment (via Google Webmaster).
Sometimes employers don’t like their staff nipping off to have a fag on a regular basis; they’d rather see them at their desks, busily working away. But in reality, can having regular fag breaks or having chats by water coolers actually benefit business?
I think these moments are often the ones where the best ideas come from. They don’t have the slightly more up-tight feel of official meetings.
